A Full Scottish, Freshly Cooked Breakfast

At most B&Bs, breakfast is an afterthought. At Alba Guest House, it's one of the highlights of your stay.

Every morning from 7 to 9am, our proprietor William — a former professional chef and restaurant owner with over 30 years of culinary experience — takes to the kitchen to prepare a freshly cooked full Scottish breakfast for every guest. Guests can also opt for a cold breakfast with cereals, yoghurts and fruit. Includes vegeterian options on request.

What's on the plate

Our full Scottish breakfast is cooked fresh to order and typically includes:

Back bacon — grilled to your liking
Link sausages — pork or beef, seasoned and cooked through
Fried, poached or scrambled eggs — just ask how you'd like them
Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms — the classic accompaniments
Toast — thick-cut, with butter and preserves on the side
Tea or coffee — a proper pot, not a sachet

We also serve a selection of cereals and fruit juice for those who prefer a lighter start — so there's something for everyone at the table.

Every Morning

Breakfast is served in our dedicated breakfast room from 7:00am to 9:00am, seven days a week. We ask guests to let us know the night before if they have any dietary requirements or preferences — we'll always do our best to accommodate.

If you have an early start or need to be on the road before 7am, just let us know when you book and we'll see what we can arrange.

We want every guest to enjoy breakfast, whatever their dietary needs. Please let us know in advance if you:

Are vegetarian — we can adapt the plate accordingly
Have a food allergy or intolerance
