Union Terrace Gardens

Union Street, the Granite Mile, is Aberdeen's main shopping and dining strip. Just off it, Union Terrace Gardens is the city's green heart — a beautifully restored Victorian sunken park featuring vibrant planting, cafés, a children's play area and a variety of eateries all framed by the grand facades of His Majesty's Theatre, the Central Library and St Mark's Church.

Entry is free, and it's a lovely spot to take a breather between sights.
