Lovely stay at the Alba Guest House in Aberdeen, Scotland
First time traveling from Boston to Scotland I stayed a week at the Alba Guest House. Very quaint and comfortable, and I highly recommend it. The owners that run it, William and Geraldine, are very accommodating and helpful.
The Alba is directly across the street from the Saint Peters Cemetery where I was researching family heritage and is lovely to stroll around and read the old headstones. The Alba is also an easy walk to the ANESFHS (Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Family History Society) for researching. The busses do run directly in front of the Alba but we walked all week. The beach, Soccer Stadium and Kings College are a quick walk away. Very close is a gas station and a Co-op full grocery store and the Bobbin bar for pub food. William makes a hearty delicious breakfast to start the day.
